TIP AND TRICKS FOR MAKING LIFE EASY 3
HOODIE POPCORN HOLDER
Picture the scene: it’s late at night
and you’ve just settled down at your computer to do some serious Googling. Your
beer is positioned within arm’s reach; but wait . . . where are the snacks? No
problem. Put your hoodie on backwards, empty a bag of popcorn into the hood,
and voila— popcorn right in front of you. Just make sure the kids aren’t around
for this one—you’ve seen how piranha swarm a piece of meat. . . .
SILLY SAFETY ROUTINE
When
leaving the house for extended periods of time, I get nervous and can never
remember if I’ve locked the door or not. This hack will save you returning home
when you’re halfway down the highway.
Vacate your premises as you normally
would and lock the door. Now comes the fun bit: do something unusual to make a
mental note that it is done. Try turning around three times or walking backward
down the path. That way, if you get the panicked urge to think back to whether
you locked it or not, you will remember your silliness and thus feel at ease. I
do the caterpillar down the path. I’m pretty sure the folks at No. 36 think I’m
crazy.
NOOK-AND-CRANNY VACUUM
Most of us need to clean out the almost inaccessible nooks
and crannies of our electrical equipment that we cannot live without. This is
how to do it without spending a fortune on compressed-air cans.
Attach the lid from a squeezy sauce
bottle (the kind with a nozzle) to your vacuum cleaner. This will give you the
ability to clear the crumbs from your keyboard or the dust from your phone’s
speakers with ease. I’ve always wondered what the difference between a “nook”
and a “cranny” is—answers on a postcard, please!
