TIP AND TRICKS FOR MAKING LIFE EASY 4
INSTANT ICE CREAM SUNDAE
The next time you’ve almost finished
a jar of your favorite hazelnut or chocolate spread, don’t feel sad—because now
you can fill it with your favorite ice cream and create an instant ice cream
sundae! You can even add chopped fruit, whipped cream, and those little
sprinkles you put on your kids’ cakes. If you’re feeling generous, donate your
delicious Life Hack treat to your little cherub—or hide in the basement and hog
the whole thing. Your choice.
BOOZY WATERMELON
Forget cocktails and punches: what
you really need at any self-respecting soiree is oversized alcoholic fruit.
This recipe is simplicity itself. Get yourself a watermelon and cut a hole in
one side. Stick a bottle of vodka or rum in the hole (take the cap off first,
dummy), and leave the bottle there until it drains completely. Alternatively,
use a funnel, and top the funnel off with vodka periodically. Put the
watermelon in the fridge to chill, and a day or two later, you’ll have an
impressive boozy treat to slice and serve to friends. Just make sure the kids
know this is NOT one of their five-a-day!
LEFTOVERS—MICROWAVE MAGIC
How many times have you sat down in front of the TV with
your conveniently microwaved leftovers only to discover that somehow the food
was cold in the middle, yet piping hot around the edge?
To avoid having to trudge back to the
microwave to blast it again, try this hack out. Arrange the meal around the
outside of the plate in a ring doughnut shape, leaving a hole in the middle.
Now that there is no middle to stay cold, you will never again suffer a meal
that is served at two vastly different temperatures.
