TIP AND TRICKS FOR MAKING LIFE EASY 10
RAZOR PAINT REMOVER
No matter how careful you are when painting, you will
inevitably get some where it’s not wanted. Like a carelessly discarded toy
soldier—it can turn up ANYWHERE.
If you’ve been unlucky enough to
inexplicably smear your best Armani tracksuit with paint, here’s what you do:
after the paint has dried, lay the suit on a flat surface, and use a disposable
razor to “shave” the paint off the cloth in quick, short motions. (Don’t press
too hard, unless you’re going for the cut-off look.)
COLA CLEANUP
Oil leaks are bad news. Not only are they unsightly, the
last thing you want is for your kids to slip on one, or, worse yet, go poking
their fingers into it and licking them afterward. Clean it up quickly and
easily with this hack.
Simply empty out a couple of
room-temperature cans of cola onto the stain (diet cola is optional, if you’re
watching your figure), and leave overnight. In the morning, dab the area with a
few paper towels, and you should have cleaned the worst of it off. Just don’t
let your kids see you pour on the cola, or they will definitely be licking it.
SCREWED SCREWS UNSCREWED
Who makes these screws with the heads that strip so easily?
(No self-respecting dad should ever admit using too much force in this kind of
situation—it was the screw, always the SCREW.) Well, anyway, there is a clever
way to remedy the problem.
If your lame hardware has let you
down yet again, grab yourself a rubber band and place it flat over the top of
the screw head. Insert your screwdriver, so it pins the band in place—now you
have enough grip to get a proper purchase on the screw to finally get it out.
Unless it breaks on you.
